The procedure involves placing tiny particles of pigment into the dermal layer of the skin, using specially developed colours that are not only uber-natural, but don't discolour when they break down (something that was an issue with the cosmetic tattoos of yesteryear). The results are long-lasting, though not permanent. And, unlike a normal tattoo, there is only minimal downtime involved and you should only experience moderate discomfort.

What do I need to know?
- You will be provided with a thorough consultation to ensure that we understand exactly what you want to achieve, and so that you understand the results you are likely to see
- A patch test will be carried out before treatment takes place
- The results, including their longevity, will depend upon your skin type, your age and the area being treated
- You may experience some discomfort, but most patients do not find the experience to be unpleasant
- There may be some redness, soreness or swelling afterwards (this should go down in a couple of days)
- You should avoid sun exposure and should avoid going swimming after the treatment (we'll provide you with comprehensive post-treatment guidelines when you come in for your appointment)
