But where these methods fall down is that they merely cut or remove the hair, meaning there's nothing to stop it from regrowing. Where lasers differ is that they damage (and eventually destroy) the hair at its follicle. This inhibits regrowth, meaning your hairs stay away longer, they reduce in number, AND when they do grow back, they are thinner and lighter in colour - win, win!
Repeat sessions will be required for the best results.
What to expect from our laser hair removal service:
- The results are long-lasting
- You may see that body hair in the treated areas reduces in the long run
- Any hairs that regrow will be lighter in colour and thinner - this makes them less obvious
- For best results, a course of sessions will be needed, with occasional top-ups
- The treatment is safe when carried out by an experienced practitioner
- You may feel slight discomfort during treatment (most people don't find it painful)
- There may be some sensitivity, redness or swelling afterwards (this will go down in a few days)
- Avoid direct sunlight for four days at least - and wear sunscreen when outside
